Ghanaian ace midfielder, Anthony Annan, at the week-end donated food items as well as other commodities worth 1,500 Ghana Cedis and some cash to the Padre Pio Rehabilitation Centre at Ahotokrom near Ankaful.
The items comprising quantities of rice, sugar, bread, biscuits, washing and bathing soap and sachet water were received by Sister Patricia Pearson, Director of the Centre.
Annan in making the presentation, said the donation was his personal contribution towards the welfare of the inmates of the Centre, which rehabilitates cured leprosy patients and the less privileged people from the area.
The Centre was established in 1983 by the Catholic Church and has 183 inmates.
Sister Pearson thanked Annan for the gesture and assured him that the items will be used in the interest of the inmates.
