Wa All Stars ended an eight match unbeaten run of league leaders Berekum Chelsea with a stunning 2-0 victory at Wa.
The victory proved crucial for the Wa based side battling relegation.
Chelsea’s 10 point lead however remains intact because title contenders New Edubiase and Aduana Stars respectively both faltered.
Edubiase were beaten 1-2 by J.E. Sarpong’s rejuvenated Liberty Professional at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park. Sarpong’s steely determination to avoid relegation appears to be on course.
Mighty Jets also pipped Aduana Stars by a lone goal.
Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs wasted a crucial penalty kick and lost 1-2 to visiting Medeama FC.
Lions also secured a priceless 1-0 victory over Kumasi King Faisal at Kpando.
Hearts of Oak succumbed to play AshGold in Obuasi whilst Kotoko hosts relegation candidates BA Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a late kick off.
