Ghana will face South Africa in their opening Group B fixture on Saturday, a day after the African Nations Championship (CHAN) starts in Sudan.
The second edition of the tournament designed by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) for Africa-based players opened in Sudan on Friday.
The Black Stars, losing finalist in the maiden competition two years ago in Ivory Coast are placed in Group B which also includes Niger and Zimbabwe.
Ghana rounded up a busy tour of Kenya with three test games against local sides ahead of their arrival in Sudan.
Coach of the Black Stars, Herbert Addo says his side continues to improve.
"They are quite ready. After today's [Friday] training, we've improved.
"There is a lot of improvement, enthusiasm and a lot of anxiety to play the match tomorrow. I think we would be ready for Saturday [against South Africa]," the Ghana coach said.
Group winners and runners-up qualify for the quarter-finals at the first Caf tournament hosted by Sudan since 1970 when they maximised home advantage to lift the African Nations Cup.
