CDH Savings and Loans Limited (formerly Ivory Finance Company), a subsidiary of CDH Financial Holdings Limited, has won a silver award for its contribution to development of the banking and financial services sector in Ghana.
The CDH company received the honor at the 9th Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards, held in Accra, under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Themed ‘Promoting Ghana’s economic development’, the awards was organised to identify, honor and reward business entities that have contributed immensely to the growth of their respective sectors and, by extension, the socio-economic development of Ghana.
Several companies drawn from diverse industries including banking and financial services, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality were awarded.
Speaking about the award, Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodee, the Group CEO of CDH Financial Holdings Limited, congratulated the management, staff and clients of CDH Savings and Loans for their demonstrable commitment to the vision of the company which resulted in the honor.
“The result of hard work is always conspicuous to all. It’s time to step up our performance, thrill our stakeholders and help to transform the Ghanaian banking and financial services sector,” Mr. Adu-Sarkodee noted.
After leading a delegation to receive the award, elated Martin Asamoah, the Executive Director for CDH Savings and Loans Limited, said that the company is well prepared to lift the standards of Ghanaian banking and financial services to thrill customers, by staying true to its mission and corporate objectives.
“The savings and loans sector has become extremely competitive; CDH Savings and Loans is not just an addition to the numbers. We mean business. We are here to partner individuals, groups and corporate bodies to enjoy growth through enduring relationships and bespoke product offerings,” Mr. Asamoah noted.
Mr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, the Minister of Trade and Industry, who was the guest speaker, commended the award winners for their contribution to national economic development.
He urged other companies to emulate the sterling performance of the award winners and contribute to the growth and development of the economy and better the lives of people.
The delegation from CDH Savings and Loans Limited included Enyonam Kudawoo, the Head of the Credit Risk Department, and Kwaku Effah Amponsah, the Acting Group Head of Corporate Communications, CDH Financial Holdings Limited.
Meanwhile, CDH Balanced Fund has also won the Bronze Award for the Advertising Campaign of the Year for 2015 at the Ghana Investments Awards organised under the auspices of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ghana.
