Chiefs in the Borae traditional area in the Krachi Nchumuru Constituency of the Volta Region have registered their displeasure with the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) for sidelining them.
They say the party has been neglecting their area because of their affiliation with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Dasibre Atamafowiese Bonja who spoke on behalf of the chiefs said since the NDC government assumed office in 2008, very little development projects has been allocated to the area.
He was speaking when Nana Akufo-Addo paid a courtesy call to the palace of the Paramount Chief of Borae at Borae No. 2 Tuesday.
He said such instances led to Borae not being named as the district capital when the new Krachi Nchumuru district was created.
"Because of this, (waving an NPP flag) we have been sidelined, they refused to give us the district capital because we voted massively for Nana Akufo-Addo in 2008," he said.
"But Nana, we know you are the Moses to save Ghana hence we will continue to support you. We know you can take Ghana to help promise land so we will vote massively for you again on December 7," he added.
He complained that their area lacks infrastructure development like schools and health facilities, good access roads, potable water among many others.
These he said Nana Akufo-Addo should provide the community with should he win the general election.
"We will make sure we increase the votes so you help solve our problems for us," he assured the NPP leader.
Nana Akufo-Addo commended the chiefs adding it is time for the NDC to pave way for the NPP that has better policies for Ghana.
