President John Evans Atta Mills has held a meeting at the Castle with his predecessor, John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday.
Just before the meeting the two men spoke to the Castle Press Corps about the agenda of the meeting.
President Mills was grateful to the former president for honouring his invitation, which he said was to “discuss matters of mutual national and international interest, pure and simply. And I am happy that at very short notice, president Kufuor has accepted my invitation”.
President Mills was hopeful the two will have some “fruitful discussions”.
On his part, former President Kufuor said “I am sure the two of us are joined by the national interest, which must be managed with necessary decorum and circumspection.”
