Bernard Don Bortey is set for a third spell with Hearts of Oak after he began preseason training with the Phobians.
The attacking midfielder who was once the toast of the fans is looking to relaunch his career after a few torrid years both on the local and foreign front.
The attacker has been training with the Phobians with a few of signing an official contract in the coming days.
The three time Ghana Premier League winner is upbeat about transforming the fortunes of his club as the club hope to end their eight year wait for a league title.
"I am here to play for Hearts because if l sit at home and see the way things are going, it saddens me. Hearts made me who l am today so if things are not going the way the supporters want we need to come in and help," he told Adom Sports.
"I don't need money from the club and the supporters but only their prayers and l will make them proud."
"My comeback will help the team to win trophies again."
Don Bortey last played for Division one side Samartex.
