Former Berekum Chelsea left back Richard Kissi Boateng has revealed lack of playing time as reason for terminating his contract with Congolese giants TP Mazembe.
CAF Confederation Cup holders announced on Thursday night that they have parted company with the Ghanaian by mutual consent.
Kisi signed for the Ravens in the year of 2013 after a sensational CAF Champions League campaign with Berekum-based Chelsea.
The former Liberty defender was a regular until Velud took charge of the club. The French manager opts for Kasusula.
"I have been here since 2013 and have worked under so many coaches. Any coach that comes gives me the opportunity to play. But this coach has been keeping me on the sidelines," Kissi Boateng told Ghanasoccernet.com
"The new coach has decided to keep me in the dug out and I think if I should go out of the club to get a new club where I'll be given enough playing time, it'll help me."
"So the team agreed to terminate my contract when I proposed it to them. It's not about non-performance or anything. I decided to end it with the club and they agreed," he added.
TP Mazembe are still with Ghanaian quartet of Solomon Asante, Yaw Frimpong, Daniel Nii Adjei and Gladson Awake.
