Former Minister for Finance, Kwame Peprah is questioning the feasibility of the New Patriotic Party’s proposed one constituency, one million dollars policy.
He says absence of public governance structures at the constituency level makes implementation of such policy impossible.
The opposition NPP has promised to make available one million dollars to each of the 275 constituencies to promote development at the local level.
Mr. Peprah sees the one district one factory as a policy that will plunge the country into financial difficulties especially at the time the NPP is promising to cut-down taxes and wondered how such a project can be implemented.
The former minister of Mr. Kwame Peprah wants Ghanaians to question the source of funding for projects and programmes promised in the NPP manifesto.
But the former minister of Transport, Communications, Mines, Energy, Lands and Forestry says NPP’s promise to cut down corruption and also reduce waste to remain efficient to fund the projects amount to nothing.
Mr. Kwame Peprah wants Ghanaians to retain the NDC for more sustainable jobs, wealth creation and infrastructure.
