The Ghana Education Service says it has not closed down the Dzorwulu Special School although it has recorded some cholera cases there.
There are reports that the school has been closed down after some of the students were infected with cholera.
Officials of the Health and Education Ministries have visited the school to assess the situation.
Head of the Special Education Division Rosemond Blay says the situation is under control.
She said some of the six students who had been hospitalized have been treated and discharged and that there was no need to close down the school.
