The Ghana Medical Association is warning that the cholera epidemic could worsen if it is not given urgent attention.
The GMA has accordingly asked its members to go the extra mile during this critical period to prevent further fatalities.
In a statement, the GMA condemned the poor environmental conditions in the country and advised the public to practice good personal hygiene.
The GMA also called for a review of sanitation in the Ivorian refugee camps to prevent an outbreak of disease.
