The man in the most awkward position in the 2016 general elections, stepped out to a mobbing welcome in the Klottey Korle Constituency to cast his vote.
His wife is on the ballot as the National Democratic Party (NDP) presidential candidate, his daughter is on the ballot as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Klottey Korle and he appears to be at loggerheads with his party, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Old women turned security officers to usher in former President Jerry John Rawlings to the voting center.
An old woman perhaps sensing the former leader may have some walking difficulty, suddenly grabbed Rawling by the right arm to help him walk through to the polling station. Two other oldies dominated his front view as volunteering escorts.
And the founder of the governing NDC took notice enough to give her a handshake.
And a tip...
Her 'job' was done as she walked away from Jerry Rawlings.
The presence of Rawlings literally turned this woman's mourning into dancing.
