Vice President John Dramani Mahama has stated that the ongoing 2nd Ghana Policy Fair is in fulfillment of the NDC government’s promise and belief in transparency and accountability.
According to him, the Policy Fair demystifies governance and makes it more relevant to Ghanaians.
The 2nd Ghana Policy Fair scheduled to run from April 26 to 30 is an exhibition of programmes and projects undertaken by the various ministries, departments and agencies and the policy directions supporting them.
Speaking at the opening of the 2nd Ghana Policy Fair in Accra, Vice President John Mahama said the fair is an opportunity for Ghanaians to take interest in the activities of the various ministries, departments and agencies and offer constructive criticisms to the policies and programmes they will be implementing.
He said the theme Empowering the people of a better Ghana is a call to Ghanaians to visit the various stands and challenge exhibition managers to explain how their policies would be implemented to enable them monitor the policies at their localities.
The Vice President advised all ministers, department heads and chief directors to make themselves available to interact with the visitors who come to their stands and provide them with the needed information on their policies, programmes and projects.
