A seven-year-old girl, Harriet Sankofie, has paid a courtesy call on First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, to thank her for helping save her life.
The girl, accompanied by her family members, opinion leaders, pastor and church elders from Bortiano Ngleshie Amanfrom in Accra, met Mrs Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House Tuesday.
In 2016 the First Lady paid the full cost of a heart surgery for little Harriet who was diagnosed of a hole in heart by physicians.
The wife of the then Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party met Harriet during a visit to the community.
Months later, and with Mrs Akufo-Addo's help, little Harriet successfully went through the operation and she is hearty and healthy.
Her visit was to thank President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's wife for the lifesaving help that has preserved her life.
Harriet's mother, Mercy Sankofie, with great emotion and bravely withheld tears narrated how her child faced a perilous fate but for the support extended to them by the First Lady.
She said before meeting Mrs Akufo-Addo, they had sought help from some people, but it did not yield any result.
Mrs Sankofie prayed for God's blessings and wisdom for the First Lady as she helps to transform the lives of needy Ghanaians.
Mrs Akufo-Addo who had her eyes focused on little Harriet thanked God for preserving her life during the operation.
She had one request that Ghanaians should continue to pray for the President as he works to better the lives of the citizens.
