President Mills has said government is working hard to provide resources for youth empowerment. He says although government is determined to solve Ghana’s unemployment menace, it has had to grapple with the lack of resources. The president has been lauding the theme for the just-ended 17th session of the assembly of Heads of State in Guinea. The summit with the theme, Accelerated Empowerment for the Youth for Sustainable Environment, sought to address challenges associated with empowering African youth and making them forces of development.Speaking to some press men after the Summit, President Mills stressed that the essence of this year's Summit means a lot to Africans generally. He said “it is not that we don’t know the causes of youth unemployment but it came out very clearly that there are certain conditions that need to be met. First there must be awareness and determination on the part of government to do something about the youth.”President Mills believes African governments must work hard to provide what the youth need to become important to the state.Source: Joy News/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
