Police in the Ashanti Region are asking for information to aid investigations into the alleged assassination attempted on Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman, Yaw Owusu Obimpeh.
Mr Obimpeh lodged a complaint with the Police that unknown gunmen fired on his vehicle on Thursday evening.
Police say investigations into the incident could be hampered if people who claim to have evidence do not come forward with it.
In an interview with Joy News, Chief Inspector Mohammed Tanko, the Ashanti regional Police Public Relations Officer said they have failed to make any arrest even though they are still investigating the incident.
He said “If anybody is out there who has any information that will help us in our investigations, it is prudent that the person does it for the safety of society and the safety of everybody in general."
The police officer said Mr. Obimpeh is assisting the police in its investigations.
