Chairman of the Division One League Board, Kwame Ntow Fiako says Kintampo United’s involvement in the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee elections on Thursday, is a bad precedent. Forty-eight delegates representing the Division One League on Thursday voted Fred Pappoe, George Kwasi Afriyie, Wilfred Kwaku Osei and Kweku Eyiah to take up the Division One League's four slots on the GFA’s executive committee after one round of voting. Mr Fiako told Asempa Sports that Kintampo United should not have taken part in the electoral process since they are not eligible to vote. According to him, the Brong Ahafo based club is not a recognized division one league team after they decided not to play in the league last season. He explained that if Kintampo United who are not recognized as part of the association due to their non-participation in last season’s division one league were allowed to vote then Kpando Cosmos FC and Wa Nimbo Stars who about five years ago withdrew from the league should have taken part in the electoral process since congress has not expelled them and automatically remains part of the division one league board. He insisted that Kintampo United’s participation in the electoral process sets a bad precedent which will probably lead to chaos. Benedict Dankwa Owusu/Asempa sports
