The water level in the Akosombo dam has risen by 0.05 feet over the past two days.
Today's level is 235.01 feet, a marginal increase above the critical minimum of 235 feet.
Though marginal, it is what officials of Volta River Authority have been hoping for as a sign that the situation will improve.
The dam has been running below the minimum operating level of 240 feet for several weeks now and there have been fears it risked total collapse.
Plant managers at the Dam would not comment on the development, preferring to observe the situation for a while.
They however remain confident the lake has seen it's lowest level.
There have been calls for the dam to be shutdown after falling below the critical operating level of 235 feet, but the plant managers insisted they could run the dam a while longer as they hope for the rains to come in to refill the Dam.
