At least over one hundred residents of Goaso in the Asunafo North district in the Brong Ahafo Region have been provided with free medical care.
The programme which formed part of the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry's free surgical outreach services residents treated for hernia repairs, hydrocelectomies and removal of lumps and bumps.
Also, patients with conditions that require more extensive management were transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for intensive care.

As part of the outreach, medical officers at the Goaso Municipal Hospital were taught several procedures which will improve on the range of services they offer to patients.
The surgical outreach was part of activities to mark the 'Ahafo for Christ' Crusade organised by the church.

Leader of the team of surgeon, Dr Leslie Issa Adam-Zakariah said the various services provided residents will help to improve on their general health.
He said the team was delighted to be part of the programme that will bring about quality of life for the residents of Goase.

Dr Adam-Zakariah also noted they were happy to have exchanged knowledge and skills with the staff of the Goaso Municipal Hospital.
