A driver and a passenger were killed by armed robbers in the early hours of Sunday at Mpraeso.
According to a Police source, the Mpraeso Police received a distress call from the local Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Seth Acheampong, that armed robbers had attacked some people on the Amartey quarters motor road.
The source said the police then proceeded to the scene and found the driver of a Hyundai mini bus with registration number ER4819 dead and a passenger with serious gunshot wounds who died later on the way to a hospital.
One locally manufactured single barrel short gun with spent shells was retrieved at the scene.
No arrest had been made. The bodies have deposited at the Kwahu Government Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
