Former South African President, Thabo Mbeki, has arrived in Ghana for the official launch of the John Agyekum Kufuor Foundation which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
Mr Mbeki and his entourage were met on arrival by former President Kufuor and some former Ministers of State.
Briefing the media, Mr. Mbeki expressed his joy for the launch of the Kufuor Foundation, saying it will go a long way to improve Ghana's socio-economic development.
He said there is the need to recognise and tap experiences of retired presidents to boost democracy.
The Spokesperson for former President Kufuor, Frank Agyekum said Mr. Mbeki will pay a courtesy call on the vice-President John Dramani Mahama and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu in Kumasi.
