Last two weeks the CID sought a court order to destroy the exhibits. Over seven thousand cedis worth of Indian hemp were destroyed.
Officials of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Intelligence agencies supervised the operation.

“These are exhibits that came into the possession of the police. Some came as a result of police operation, where the suspects were arrested together with the exhibits. Some were arrested without the suspects,” he told Anna Agyapong.
He lamented that some of the suspects who were arrested with the exhibits jumped bail before they could be prosecuted.
