Kumasi Asante Kotoko has jumped to the summit of the Ghana premier league table after winning a hard fought game against Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.The porcupine warriors defeated their opponents by 3 goals to 2 to move to seven points ahead of New Edubiase FC who are on six points. Nathaniel Asamoah put the Kotoko lads ahead in the first half before veteran Peter Oforiquaye drew parity for Bechem United.The first half ended with the two sides sharing the spoils, but Bechem took the lead when the second half resumed before a hungry Kotoko team leveled courtesy an Armed Toure unstoppable shot.Armed Toure put the icing on the cake a few minutes later, when he latched on to a Nathaniel Asamoah pass to put the ball beyond the reach of the Bechem United goalkeeper.In other games, Hearts of Lions and Cape Coast Dwarfs played out a one all draw at Kpando. At the Obuasi Len Clay Sports stadium, the home side, Ashgold, beat Wa All Stars by two goals to one.The game at the Essipong Stadium between Medeama and Liberty professionals ended 2 -0 in favour of Medeama.Aduana Stars went to Tema to humble the homeside, Tema Youth by a goal to nil. On Saturday, Mighty Jets boosted they chances of staying in the topflight when they beat new entrants, Wassaman FC, by a goal to nothing.The Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea game will kick of later with the Phobians promising to humble the league champions.
