Presidential Aide Stanislav Dogbe has challenged aspiring CPP Presidential candidate, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, to within a week come up with a proposal that will help alleviate the flooding situation in the capital.
“I give him one week to submit a programme of action, a plan to mitigate the floods, he should write it and bring it” said Stan.
Mr. Dogbe’s comments on Multi TV’s political talk show, Majority Caucus on Thursday, was a reaction to the CPP’s aspiring flag bearer who told Joy FM’s Israel Laryea that the nation’s leaders must be proactive to avert future floods instead of sympathising with flood victims.
Dr. Nduom had said there was the need “to figure out what we can do to ensure the water courses are taken care of proactively”.
But appearing on Majority Caucus, the Presidential Aide rubbished Dr. Nduom’s comments.
“For those politicians like Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom and the Nana Addo’s who stayed in government for 8 years had they constructed some storm drains each year as we have done, I am sure that we would not have been here today” Mr. Dogbe stressed.
He added that “I said it in 2007, and he got angry with me then, but I am saying it again, he is not going to get 1.7% of the total votes that will be cast in 2012.”
