Kwesi Appiah has made five changes to the Black Stars' first eleven that shockingly dropped points in Kumasi for this afternoon’s tough clash against Congo in Brazzaville, including Harrison Afful.
It was reported on Monday that the defender had pulled out of the match due to a foot injury, but the Columbus Crew ace seems to have recovered in time to start in the right-back position.
Joseph Attamah Larweh, Jeffrey Schlupp, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Asamoah Gyan have all dropped out of the team.
Defender Lumor Agbenyenu, who missed the previous clash because he arrived late, has been selected for the left-back position.
Midfielders Thomas Agyepong and Afriyie Acquah have also regained their places in the squad.
In-form striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom will single-handedly spearhead the attack.
Starting line-up: Richard Ofori, Harrison Afful, Lumor Agbenyenu, Daniel Amartey, Jonathan Mensah, Afriyie Acquah, Christian Atsu, Ebenezer Ofori, Richmon Boakye Yiadom, Thomas Partey, Thomas Agyepong.
Ghana trail Group E leaders Uganda by five points and Egypt by four points after picking up just two points from their first three games of the qualifiers.
The match is scheduled to kickoff at 14:30GMT (2:30pm)
