Reports reaching Myjoyonline.com indicate that a Benz bus with registration number GR 8229 G has been involved in an accident at Nasia between Diare and Savelugu in the Northern Region on Thursday dawn.
Although no death has been recorded yet, a victim in the accident, Aminda John who described the accident as fatal said over 15 passengers have sustained serious injuries.
Though he could not tell the exact number of passengers on board, Aminda suspects some passengers might be trapped in the somersaulted vehicle.
“About 15 people are seriously injured and cannot do anything. Some have broken legs and arms. As I am talking to you now I have minor injuries on my leg and arm and I am helping to rescue the rest.”
Narrating how the accident happened, John Aminda said the driver lost control of the car, skidded off the road, ran into a tree, and somersaulted in the process.
The bus was travelling from Kumasi to Binaba in the Upper East Region.
More soon.
