A circuit court in Accra has adjourned until May 2, a contempt case brought against Multimedia Group Limited, Peace FM and nine others over the GH¢51 million judgement debt involving businessman Alfred Woyome.
The other accused persons include Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu and New Patriotic Party Communications Director, Nana Akomea.
The applicant, David Annan is praying the court to either incarcerate or impose an unspecified amount of money as fine against the defendants.
He says the appellants have used their various platforms to make statements that have the tendency to interfere in the outcome of the Woyome trial.
Nana Asante Bediatuo of Ampem Chambers, who is lawyer for Nana Akomea, has told Joy News Mr. Annan will have to prove the allegations in the quasi-criminal case beyond all reasonable doubt and he has "absolutely no doubt at all that he will fail."
