Members of the Christ Temple of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) celebrated Easter Monday in a joyous style by having a fun-filled picnic at the church’s premises at Abossey Okai.
It was a day for the family as parents participated in games such as peace pull – usually referred to as tug of war, basketball, football, chess, scrabble and draft while the children busied themselves with video games, bouncy castles and zip balls floating on makeshift pools.
A variety of food and drinks were on sale while a medical team was on stand-by.
The General Overseer of ICGC, Pastor Mensah Otabil, was present at the event which was well attended by many senior and junior pastors as well as church members.
One of the organizers of the event expressed joy at the huge turn out and said the church aims at providing not only the spiritual needs of its members but their social needs as well.
Still in Accra, hundreds of Ghanaians thronged the beaches to observe Easter Monday picnics.
Holiday revelers had fun and socialized at the Labadi, Korle Gonno and Independence Square beaches where they also showcased their latest dance moves, swimming skills and wrestling prowess.
