Over half a thousand orphans and other children from the Bless the Child International Orphanage at Nkwatia, Kwahu, in the Eastern Region at the weekend enjoyed arguably a never-to-forget Easter party.
Virtual Security Africa Ltd., dealers in, and providers of, modern security products and services, organized a buffet lunch for the children at the forecourt of the Mpraeso Chief Palace Saturday.
It was a complete package of a party – food, drinks, singing and dancing competitions that saw winners win cash prizes and lots of fun.
Before the party started, the Chief Executive Officer of Virtual Security Africa Ltd, Mr Emmanuel Asiedu-Sekyere gave some words of advice and encouragement to the children.
He said they had every right to dream big but added their dreams will come to naught if they do not apply seriousness and diligence to their work especially studies.
For the orphans, he said, it was easy for them to be despondent and blame their situation on the filings of the society but according to him, that would be a dysfunctional attitude to life. Their circumstances, he emphasized, should not discourage them in any way.
He stressed that regardless of their circumstances, they have the gifts of God as any other person and enjoy same rights as other children and must, therefore, make the best of their talents and gifts.
