Police at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region have arrested two people believed to be New Patriotic Party agents for allegedly leading a minor to register for the biometric identification.
The two whose identities are yet to be disclosed were picked up at about 5.30pm at a registration centre at Ejisu near Kumasi.
Reports indicate a 15-year old girl who accompanied her elder sisters to the registration centre was lured by the suspects to register.
She however confided in a worker at the Ejisi-Juabeng District Assembly who called in the police.
Ejisu District Police Commander, D.S.P. Stephen Awuah confirmed the arrest to Nhyira FM’s Kofi Asante but declined to give further details.
