Police in the Northern region have launched investigations into a shooting incident in Bimbila last Friday night.
According to the Northern Regional Police Commander, ACP George Tuffuor, the police have intensified investigations into the shooting incident that involved the supporters of two rival chiefs, Nakpaa-Naa Salifu Dawuni and Naa Andani who reportedly exchanged gunfire which resulted in one person sustaining wounds.
The incident which was reported to have started by stone throwing degenerated into an exchange of gunfire by the two groups.
According to ACP George Tuffuor, the security apparatus have been deployed to the area, and maintained that everything is being done to avoid a bloodbath in Bimbila,
