The Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party Yaw Buaben Asamoa has been released.
He spent the night at the Police HQ following his arrest Monday evening.
It is not too clear the reasons for his arrest but he was part of many New Patriotic Party bigwigs who had thronged the Police HQ in solidarity with the Member of Parliament for Assin North Kennedy Agyapong who was arrested over comments police described as potentially treasonable.
Joy News’ Anny Osabutey who was present at the Police HQ, Tuesday, confirmed the release of the NPP Deputy Communications Director.
Buaben, according to Osabutey, left the Police HQ in the company of John Boadu, a Deputy Communications Director of the party.
