The Chief of Voltarians in the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions, Togbui Mawufeme Fugah, has likened the statement made by Kennedy Agyapong to playing with fire.
He has therefore warned the public to be cautious of the kind of statements they make since it can lead them into trouble.
According to the Chief, Mr. Agyapong is a well educated person who really knows the laws of the land and for him to have made that statement meant that it was well planned.
In an interview on Radio Gold, Wednesday, Togbui Mawufeme Fugah said a press statement by his outfit has condemned Mr. Agyapong’s statement adding that Ghana is a peace loving multi-ethnic country and Ghanaians would not allow anybody destroy the integrity of this nation.
He has therefore encouraged every Ghanaian who has attained the age of 18 years and above to feel free regardless of their tribal differences and register in order to exercise their franchise come December 2012 national elections.
The fact of the statement as earlier reported by myjoyonline.com was that the NPP activist, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong was under investigations for treason after declaring "war" on what he says were unprovoked attacks on the opposition New Patriotic Party supporters and activists by alleged thugs of the ruling party in the ongoing biometric registration exercise.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong is expected to appear before court on Wednesday.
