Five persons are reported dead and several others injured in a motor accident in Nkawkaw in the Eastern region.
The driver of the Yutong bus in which they were traveling from Accra to Techiman was said to be sleeping behind the steering wheel and when he lost control which caused the bus to veer into the bush.
According to the DSP Albert Deletsa of the Nkawkaw Divisional Police Commander, the deceased comprise of two males and three females aged between 30 and 40.
The injured were taken to the Roman Hospital, Nkawkaw and Agyakwa Private Hospital have been treated and discharged.
Meanwhile the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Kwahu Atibie Government Hospital morgue.
