The Sunyani Municipal Police Command has begun investigations to trace the family members of a middle-aged man who was found hanging in his total room in Sunyani.
The man, named Henry Armah, as recorded in the hotel attendance book, lodged at the hotel on the night of June 25, 2012 but was found hanging the next morning by officials of the hotel, naked, during their routine duties.
Detective Inspector Jacob Atampuri, Station CID of the Sunyani Municipal Police Command, told Daily Guide that the deceased hanged himself on the ceiling fan with a rope.
He said the deceased, believed to be Ga, did not leave any other identification in the room to enable the police to get in touch with his family.
According to Inspector Atampuri, a receipt concerning a transaction the deceased had earlier made with a forex bureau at Labadi in Accra was found on him.
He therefore appealed to the general public to help trace the family members of the deceased.
