The Vice President John Mahama Thursday inaugurated an electricity project that would connect 22 communities in Bole, Northern Region to the national grid. In all, 545 communities across the country are to benefit from the rural electrification project at the cost of 170 million dollars. Commissioning the project at Tinga, Mr. Mahama said this is part of government plan to ensure every community was hooked to the national grid. According to Joy FM’s Anny Osabutey the Vice President Mahama defied downpours as he inaugurated the project. He reported that Vice President was of the firm belief that the project would provide jobs that would boost the economic status of beneficiaries of the project. Some inhabitants also express their gratitude to the government for fulfilling the promise it made to them.
