Administrative manager of Hearts of Oak, Hackman Aidoo, and the club's spokesperson, Opare Addo, were nearly lynched by some supporters in Kumasi after their 1-1 draw with Bechem United on Sunday.
After nine matches played, they have won three, drawn twice and lost four. They lie 10th on the table with 11 points.
Before their last game against Bechem United, the fans were in high hopes of getting the three points but they failed to achieve that feat.
Following the draw, some supporters of the club prevented players and officials from getting out of the dressing room.
"I received blows on my neck, and Mr. Aidoo too was beaten badly," Addo told Joy Sports.
"It was a difficult experience and it doesn't reflect well on the club. We understand the fans were unhappy, but this is no way to address your feelings at all."
But for the security men at the Baba Yara Sports, things could have turned ugly.
Reports say a section of fans have warned the club's management not to attend any further matches until things improve. In response, Addo entreated fans to be patient.
"We will engage the official fan group and appeal to them to work with us through this difficult time."
