There are reported clashes at Kokompe in Takoradi in the Western Region.
Garage owners and mechanic were said to be demonstrating but the peaceful march turned violent.
Police used water canons, teargas and other riot control methods to disperse the demonstrating crowds.
Several of the demonstrators have been injured in the process.
