Ghana has gone on a road show to issue sovereign bonds in some European countries to raise $750 million.
The road show, which was led by Databank Financial Services and other financial managers has so yielded an over-subscription of the bonds about three times than it was originally projected.
The road show yielded $2.9 billion in sovereign bonds from the global market.
Speaking to Joy News from London, Finace Minister, Kwadwo Baah Wiredu was grateful to the local media for their campaign which has led to the success.
He said Ghana is now open to more opportunities in the world financial markets.
