The race for the Ghana Premier Golden Shoe continues to take twists and turns, as it did once more on Sunday when Victorien Adebayor went joint-top of the scoring charts.
The Nigerien attacker’s only goal against Berekum Chelsea not only secured Inter Allies their sixth successive win at home but helped him in his bid for a maiden Golden Boot on his debut campaign.
He has equalled Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United with seven (7) goals with both men one clear of WAFA attacker Charles Boateng (6).
Followed by four (4) goal heroes Patrick Razak (Hearts of Oak), Stephen Amankona (Berekum Chelsea), William Opoku Mensah (Karela United), Zuberu Sharani (Dreams FC) and Medeama’s Kwame Boateng.
Veteran striker Alex Asamoah and one-time winner of the individual accolade scored over the weekend to take his tally to three goals.
