Cattle and motor bike theft are reportedly increased in the Upper East Region.Regional Minister Mark Woyongo who confirmed this to Joy News described it as a worrying situation that needs the cooperation of all residents in the area to halt.He said in the case of the cattle, their herds, who are mostly Fulanis, force them to nearby countries where they are sold.Woyongo named Bongo and Zebilla districts as topping the list of districts where the theft of cattle was on the ascendancy.He said motorcycles are not left out of the theft cases.According to him, over 50 stolen motorcycles have been retrieved from people.He commended neighbouring Burkina Faso and Togo in the fight against trans border crimes.Mark Woyongo said the Upper East security personnel are working feverishly with the security personnel in Burkina Faso and Togo to ensure cattle stolen from Ghana and led to nearby regions are returned.He said the collaboration is yielding fruitful results.
