Mr. Kwesi Biney, the former District Chief Executive for Ahanta West in the Western Region has advised students to emulate people who have led meaningful lives in society. He pointed out to them that the only way to build a bright future is to study hard and be good, warning that “evil doers do not end well”. Mr. Biney was addressing the forum of over 500 pupils from 10 Junior High Schools in the district on the topic: “Role models and students”, organised by the Foundation for Rural and Agricultural Development (FORADEV). He advised them to “put education in the centre stage and develop themselves, because even if they decide to enter agriculture as a profession, there is no more land in the area, not even for peasant farming”. The Executive Director of FORADEV, Mr. Samuel Kojo Brace, entreated the pupils to identify people who could be their role models in the area, and strive to attain higher heights like them.
