A witness, Patrick Adjei told Joy News the situation is very serious.
According to him, the fire is so severe that it has extended to some few houses nearby.
Personnel of the Fire Service are on hand to put out the inferno.
The Lapaz Market fire is the third in series of fire outbreaks in Accra's markets.
