The Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji Amidu Sulemana, who sustained gunshot wounds when his vehicle came under a hail of bullets from suspected armed robbers Friday morning, is in stable condition.
Mr. Amidu came under under attack whilst on his way to Fielemuo to thank the people for electing him as the Member of Parliament for Sissala West.
The Deputy Regional Minister, Mr. Kale Caesar, who disclosed this to Joy News said the minister would be flown to Accra for extensive medical care.
Upper West Regional Correspondent Rafiq Salam reported Mr. Amidu is currently undergoing some medical procedures at the Wa Regional Hospital.
He said he was wheel chaired into the theatre and will undergo X-ray procedure to find out if there are still pellets in his body.
Rafiq Salam said everybody is shocked at the attack on the Minister.
He will later be transferred to Accra for further medical attention.
