The dusk to dawn curfew imposed on the Hohoe Township following a communal violence about five months ago has been lifted.
The curfew was imposed after violent clashes between indigenes and Muslim youths.
The Paramount chief of the Gbi Traditional area whose palace was demolished and regalia stolen vowed to pursue the Muslim youth till they return his stolen items.
It took the quick intervention of President John Mahama, the National Peace Council and other religious leaders to restore calm to the area.
Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel told Joy News the decision to lift the curfew was taken yesterday after an assessment of the security situation in the area and consultations with various stakeholders.
He however said the security is closely monitoring the situation.
