The Nkwanta Police in the Volta Region have apprehended Ibrahim Manyiteh, 32 and Kwasi Kabuja, 18, both farmers for allegedly cultivating wee on their farms at Kpassa in the Nkwanta District.
Mr. Hayford Asempah, a Detective Inspector of Police in charge of crime in the district told the GNA that, on September 23, this year at about 10:50 hours the Police had information that the suspects had cultivated plants suspected to be Indian hemp.
He said the Police arrested the suspects and escorted them to the farm where the plants were uprooted and brought to the Police station.
Mr. Asempah said the suspects have been granted bail but would be put before court soon.
