The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the benchmark indicator of performance of the bourse, opened the week on a brighter note with a jump of 16.66 points.
The Index closed on Monday at 8,649.06 points from 8,632.40 points on Friday.
Change for the year to date now stands at 31.05 per cent.
Traded volumes closed the session at 460,000 shares, with CAL Bank (CAL) selling 134,800 shares followed by Mechanical Lloyd Company Limited (MLC), which sold 126,500 shares.
On the broader market there were six positive price changes.
CAL and HFC Bank (HFC) gained GH¢ 0.02 each to close trading at GH¢ 0.53 and GH¢ 0.58, respectively; while Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) and SIC Insurance (SIC) were richer by GH¢ 0.01 each to close at GH¢ 1.32 and GH¢ 0.41, respectively.
The other gainers were Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) which went up by GH¢ 0.01 to close at GH¢ 0.60 while PZ Cussons Ghana Limited (PZ) also gained GH¢ 0.01 to end trading at GH¢ 0.86.
Market capitalisation closed the trading session higher at GH¢ 14,461.18 million from GH¢ 14,450.80 million on Friday.
