Richard Aidoo, whose plea was not taken, was charged with unlawful entry and stealing.
He was remanded into Police custody to reappear on August 10 2009.
Police Inspector Michael Jubiok said on July 30 the Management and Security Staff of the Game Discount World detected the theft of some handy items including three Sony digital cameras, ipods and pen drives which had been removed from a showcase.
The Prosecutor said a report was made to the Police who in turn commenced investigations.
The Prosecution said at about 0800 hours on July 30 when the Company opened the shop to commence the day's activities they detected that their security alarm was not functioning and hence raised the alarm.
The security guards closed the shops and ordered staff to conduct a search.
In their search, they found Aidoo hiding between standing fridges in the shop and was apprehended.
When he was searched 36 assorted mobile phones were found on him.
The Prosecution said when Aidoo was quizzed on how he managed to enter the shop, he said he hid himself in the shop the previous day before the shop was closed and he disconnected the security system.
He said Aidoo indicated that on July 29, he broke into the showcase and took away assorted cell phones, two ipods and 36 pen drives, three Sony cameras valued GH¢12,619 and repeated the act on the following day and made away with 36 assorted mobile phones.
According to him he sold some of the mobile phones to people at the UTC area in the Central Business District of Accra.
