A conference aimed at paving the way for economists and experts from various sectors of the economy to discuss key issues on development and growth of Ghana’s economy is scheduled to be held in Accra.
The event which is dubbed ‘The Ghana Summit’ will take place from October 29 to 30, 2013 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The event will bring together about150 key Ghanaian policymakers, international businesses leaders and influential thinkers across the continent to explore the country's continued economic growth and human development.
It will also seek to discuss and bring to bear measures and strategies that are needed to tackle and streamline Ghana’s natural and human resource.
The event, according to organizers will highlight on the potential avenues and sectors that is directed at helping to impact positively on the economy of the country.
'The Ghana Summit’ conference is also targeted strategically to bring on board the various stakeholders responsible for both the economic growth of the Africa and Ghana at large to share their ideas and expertise regarding ways of improving living standards.
Some prominent speakers at the even will include, President John Mahama, and Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur.
Others are Madam Hannah Tetteh, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Santiago Herrera, Lead Economist of the World Bank Ghana-Sierra Leone and Liberia, Kadré Désiré Ouedraogo, President of the ECOWAS Commission and Ozwald Boateng, Designer and Founder of Made In Africa.
