The Ghana Police Service has arrested three more suspects believed to be the ringleaders behind the daylight armed robbery at a gold jewellery shop in Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region.
The suspects — Fatao Mohammed, also known as Motorway; Nashiru Abubakari, known as Soldier; and Sadick Abubakar Satire, popularly called 50 Cent — were arrested on January 19, 2026.
Police say the three are believed to be the main gang leaders of the robbery syndicate.
Their arrest brings the total number of suspects picked up so far in connection with the incident to seven.
The robbery occurred on November 2, 2024, when armed men struck a jewellery shop in broad daylight at Adabraka, making away with GH¢7.5 million.
The bold nature of the attack, carried out in a busy commercial area, sent shockwaves through the capital.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Affairs Directorate, the Ghana Police Service said investigations into the robbery are ongoing and assured the public of its commitment to arresting all those involved and ensuring they face the full rigours of the law.
The statement was signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah on behalf of the Director-General of Public Affairs.
